Our client Blindconnect is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1998 by Jean Peyton with a mission to empower individuals in Southern Nevada living with visual impairments or blindness. Through resources, peer support, and life skills training, Blindconnect helps visually impaired youth and adults gain the tools they need to live confidently and independently.
Thanks to the support of generous contributors, Blindconnect continues to offer life-changing services across the Las Vegas Valley. The nonprofit fulfilled its ultimate vision with the creation of Angela’s House—Nevada’s first one-stop, home-like training center located at the Regional Transportation Center. Clients can safely and comfortably learn to navigate the challenges of vision loss and regain independence.
Creative Vision Communications has been honored to support Blindconnect on and off throughout the years, assisting with press releases, media outreach, and social mediacampaigns for their fundraising initiatives. One of the most impactful is Blind Date: A Dining in the Dark Experience—an unforgettable annual event where guests wear sleep shades and enjoy a three-course meal, gaining insight into the everyday obstacles faced by those who are blind or visually impaired.
